“Healing iives and reinventing communities.”

Tween Group

The term “Tween” refers to the stage of life between the ages of 11 and 13. At this point children are experiencing the precursors to adolescence. This group focuses on preparing children for their future by giving them the tools they need to have more self-awareness, better communication skills, foster more positive behavior patterns, respond to critical life issues, and create positive and supportive peer connections. This group uses expressive therapy as part of the psychotherapy process to help tweens express feelings that may otherwise be too difficult to verbalize.
